Our Mission:
Academic excellence for the fullfillment of self for the Glory of God.
The St. Patrick Early Learning Center (ELC) operates on the philosophy that all children are created in God’s image and are important members of society. The atmosphere of the program and the staff will promote each child’s uniqueness and abilities.
The ELC is a stimulating and caring environment designed to promote the development of the WHOLE child. In the ELC, the child is exposed to developmentally appropriate activities which are oriented towards his social, emotional, physical, cognitive and spiritual needs. Each child is respected as an individual with unique qualities of personality, intelligence and creativity. Each day at the ELC provides a balanced schedule of activities: quiet, active, group and individual participation is planned, along with opportunities for eating, resting and outdoor play.
Our preschool program was established in 2002 to provide quality care for children ages 3 to 5. The ELC is licensed by the Ohio Department of Education and is a part of St. Patrick School.
The ELC has two programs available to parents – full-time and part-time. The full-time program comprises of preschool with wrap-around care (daycare). The part-time program is preschool only (8:45 to 11:30am) on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays.
Our programs are guided by the Early Learning Content Standards set by the Ohio Department of Education. The program director holds a Master’s diploma in Early Childhood Development. Each staff member involved in the program meets certain in-service education requirements each year.
